Off the beaten Prague...Sightseeing in Prague can be done in about a day so it's highly recommended to take day trips to two nearby towns.. the first was mining town Kutna Hora famous for it's Bone Chapel, Kostnice and the St. Barbara's cathedral, St. Barbara being the patron saint for miners..
Presenting the bone chapel..bwahahah
Freaky huh? Bone Chandelier for grandure
Bone crest- to showcase their creativity
Too many bones, they ran out of stuff to do
and it's really a chapel..see
The road to the more orthodox st. barbara's cathedral
the gothic cathedral the interior is really stunning but no photos allowed..
The second town holds Karlstejn castle which looks like something out of a story book.. prettier from the outside than it is on the inside though.. and the town basically centers around the castle so it's a 30 mins hike up and back down on the train to Prague...
view from the castle: it's known as the impenetrable castle and judging by the view from the castle.. u can guess why.. so freaking high and surrounded by forests that stretch further than the eye can see
not quite the happy gelato stained postcard.
